Have you ever found yourself asking “what’s wrong with me?”It's normal to have moments where you are doubting yourself or feeling like something is wrong with you. Maybe you don't feel like you're doing enough or need to change some things about you. Whatever it is, it doesn't feel good, and after a while, it starts to alter how you view yourself. As spiritual beings, how we view ourselves reflects on how spiritually grounded we are. Having confidence means we are living consciously with self-acceptance. Confidence and spirituality share a reciprocal relationship where one cannot exist without the other. When your head and heart are filled with negative thoughts about yourself, it can make it hard to feel connected to the universe. It's important to have a deep connection internally before you can connect with anything externally. You can change how you view the person you see in the mirror when you focus on restoring your confidence. When you have confidence, you can position yourself for growth despite the challenges or setbacks you may face, and that even includes the negative thoughts you may feel about yourself. Confidence is about pivoting your thoughts and feelings to work for your good and not to harm you.Restoring your confidence isn't something that can be done overnight, but if you remain intentional with your practices, it can be achieved. Here are some things that will help you restore your confidence and allow yourself to witness your real inner strength.

Regularly meditate.

Meditation is a great way to restore your confidence and develop a deeper connection to your innermost self.Regular meditation will help quiet the negative thoughts or feelings you may have about yourself and bridges the gap in communication between your mind, body, and soul. When you are regularly meditating, you tend to live a more peaceful life with a positive and healthy perspective. Naturally, you will see that you become less engaged with the inner voices driving the negative self-talk, and your inner self-critic becomes silent.

Step out of your comfort zone.

Restoring your confidence will involve you getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Confidence comes from taking risks. Step out of your comfort zones into things that may frighten you. Empower yourself to try something you may have failed at once before. Don't be afraid to fail. Spirituality teaches us to give up control and trust in a higher power to see us through any challenge we may face. As you explore ways to step outside of your comfort zone, keep a list of all the wins you gain. When you take a risk that results in a win, it proves that you are capable and will empower you to continue trying.

Adopt your core values.

Spend some time thinking about what you want most in life and why it's meaningful to you. Ask yourself questions such as "What are my hopes and dreams?" "What am I supposed to do with my life?" "What brings the most joy to my life?" Look for things that will motivate and inspire you. You will be amazed at how much your confidence will rise when you're able to make decisions that reflect your core values. They will be the road map that guides you through life as a confident and sound individual.

Surround yourself with confident people.

Birds of a feather flock together and surrounding yourself with confident people is a great way to help restore your own. If you find that the people you hang around aren't contributing to your growth and are bringing negative energy into your life, distancing yourself from those people creates more space to invite confident ones. You want to surround yourself with people you admire or people who you may look up to. The risk-takers, the ones that will hold you accountable when it comes to your goals, people you respect and trust, as well as those who empower you with positive talks. Confidence is contagious, and you want to be around people who make it easier to catch.

Practice positive self-talk.

The messages that you tell yourself can do one of two things. They can either encourage you or discourage you. When you tell yourself that you can't do something, you send a message that only limits you from doing things you may be very capable of doing. But, when you're able to speak to yourself with love and positivity, it fosters strength and empowers you to go after whatever it is you want. Positive self-talk will help promote a positive image of yourself. Don't be afraid to tell yourself how smart you are or how successful you will be one day. If you can, make it a priority to look yourself in the mirror every morning and say something nice about yourself. You can also practice by writing down positive self-talk or affirmations and putting it where it can be visible throughout your day.Lack of confidence can cause us to carry around negative energy that can prevent us from living spiritually fulfilling lives. Doing the work to restore your confidence will allow you to ground yourself in energy that will help you feel solid in what can be a shaky world at times. Make the conscious decision to start respecting and appreciating yourself. Put your trust back into yourself and cultivate a life that showcases who you are in the best light.
